The Issues That Pertain To Social Issues

The Issues That Pertain To Social IssuesNo discussion of human beings on the earth's surface would be complete without discussing issues such as government corruption, poverty, war, corruption and crime. These problems in no way only affect certain sections of society or only affect certain social groups, but instead, they affect everybody and it is therefore vital that we discuss them at length. This is because it is only from discussions that social issues can be solved and this will improve our quality of life. The social issue of corruption is one of the most serious. Even if one is innocent, people are affected and thus the crimes that occur as a result of corruption are more than enough to cause outrage. In terms of individuals, however, corruption can bring about destruction within families.Society has gone to the extent of destroying its families and as a result, families have become useless and those left are even less able to influence the society that they live in. This, in turn, has led to issues such as crime being so rampant in society that even law enforcement has become ineffective and nothing short of a revolution will do any good to stop the problem. However, when the police are unable to arrest perpetrators, the cases of murder rates go up dramatically, and this means that the bigger percentage of criminals comes from the families that the victims leave behind. As a result, the mass media has been taken aback by the crime rate that has been brought about as a result of lack of social justice in society. All these are caused by failure of successful attempts by those in the society to fix these issues and to deal with them head on. Sadly, it has come to the point where many people are just too old or too poor to make any meaningful contribution to society and hence the crime rate has skyrocketed. The issue of poverty is also one of the most serious and without addressing this problem, there will be nothing to discuss in terms of social issues. Wit h extreme poverty is so rampant, very few individuals have the resources to run their lives. As a result, crime rates and other societal issues are now being brought to the point where they are at such a level that the justice system is failing to act and solve such issues and thus the problems are getting worse. It is sad to say but the fact is that even if the government could take over these social issues that have led to the crimes being committed, it would not be in the interest of either the government or the citizens. This is because if the government does not take measures to handle the situation, it will only worsen the situation even further and then there would be no more talk of dealing with the problem. Thus, only the citizens themselves can get things moving and raise the level of discussion about these social issues, and as a result, the society as a whole will have to take matters into their own hands.
